Martha grew up in Henderson, Kentucky and attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington (summa cum laude, B.A. 2000).  She received her J.D. (cum laude, 2003) from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in Manhattan.  She began her career as an attorney at large law firm in New York City, advising individuals, corporate fiduciaries, and family offices on wide range of estate, trust, business, and tax planning matters.  Martha received her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University in 2010.
