George W. Gregory was a shareholder with the Kemp Klein Law Firm in Troy, Michigan. George had over 30 years of experience in the areas of estate planning, tax, and business law. Prior to Kemp Klein and his own practice, he was a Professor with Wayne State University School of Business Administration where he taught tax courses at the undergraduate and graduate level.
George was a cum laude graduate of Wayne State University Law School and received various academic awards and honors. He was a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and was listed in the Best Lawyers in America every year beginning in 1986.
George was one of the draftsmen of the Michigan Estate Tax Act which repealed the old Michigan Inheritance Tax. He wrote about tax related topics in numerous publications.
We were fortunate and proud to have George work extensively with us on the Michigan edition of Lawgic Wills and Trusts. His combination of expertise, common sense, and personality will be hard to replace.
